Retail manager

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Retail Manager to join our team at Caltex Reservoir. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fuel station, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high product availability. Your leadership will be crucial in implementing sales strategies that drive revenue, enhance brand loyalty, and ensure compliance with company standards.

REPORTING TO: The position report to Operation Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field. 
2. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in retail management or a similar role. 
3. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to analyze sales data and market trends. 
4. Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software. 
5. Certifications: Relevant certifications in retail management or customer service are a plus.
6. Personal Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Promoting Goods and Services: Execute promotional and advertising campaigns to highlight the establishment's offerings.
2. Developing Policies and Pricing Strategies: Formulate and implement purchasing and marketing policies, along with setting competitive prices.
3. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and financial transactions.
4. Assessing Product Mix and Inventory: Determine the optimal product mix, manage stock levels, and uphold service standards.
5. Staff Management: Control the selection, training, and supervision of staff.
6. Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong connections with suppliers while negotiating favourable contracts for pricing and delivery.
7. Employee Well-Being: Promote a healthy work-life balance, address employee problems, and acknowledge accomplishments to foster a positive work environment.
8. Cost control: Find ways to reduce expenses without sacrificing customer satisfaction or service quality.
9. Budget Management: Oversee budgeting processes for the establishment.
10. Customer Engagement: Sell products and services while providing expert advice on their use.
11. Inventory Turnover Optimization: To reduce holding costs and prevent overstocking or understocking, examine inventory turnover rates and adjust ordering strategies.
12. Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.

SALARY 

• $73,150 to $80,000 per year

WORKING HOURS 

• Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
